About Magadh University

Magadh University is the largest and the most popular university in Bihar situates in a sprawling Campus of 460 Acres. Magadh University came into existence after the Government of Bihar passes act for this University in 1961. Dr. Sarvapali Radhakrishan, the then President of India, laid the foundation of this University.

The University has developed horizontally and vertically having 24 post Graduate Departments, 44 Constituent and 115 affiliated Colleges, altogether with above 2.50 lakh students and 2 thousand teachers.
